February 26, 2025 - Lunch at Cambridge with Chuck and Elmer

Today we had good flying weather for late February so Chuck and I decided to go fly somewhere for lunch on a late Wednesday afternoon.  Chuck had his friend Elmer flying with him.  We decided o go to Carol's at Cambridge Airport.

There goes Chuck!

Cruising over the Chesapeake Bay.

Passing by Eastern Neck island.

Visibility was outstanding today.  We're passing over Cambridge town with the airport in the distance at center.  The airport was busy when we arrived, with some landing and some taking off, but everyone flew good patterns and made good radio calls and landing went very smoothly.

The Cambridge terminal.  We had a nice lunch at Carol's.  It's good to have a restaurant back again at Cambridge.

Elmer and Chuck before takeoff.

A big pale yellow AgCat biplane taxiis by.

About to fly the Choptank River on the way home.

I surprise a herd of wild turkeys (lower left).

About to go feet wet over the Bay.

A pair of A-10s passed in front of us as we crossed the Bay.  They were headed into their base at Martin State Airport.

It was fun to get out and do some flying.  The plane ran great.
